I am Max Fierke. I write software. I enjoy trains. I found five dollars on the ground and I'm keeping it.
Twin Cities born & raised, in Minneapolis is where I spend most of my days. I work-in-place as a senior software engineer for Boston-based startup Iora Health, which offers a top-notch value-based and outcome-focused care model to deliver great care to our patients. (I, however, do not speak for them and neither does this site.)
I like to work with a lot of different tech. You should
git checkout my GitHub, where I store several of my prized codes. In the past, I've worked on embedded systems & operating systems. These days, I'm building web applications and services using Ruby on Rails and Ember. On the side, I'm hacking on Rust stuff, parsers in Crystal, and fumbling my way through writing, drawing, and building a point-and-click adventure game. I'm also fond of hacking on compilers, structured concurrency, reverse engineering, poking fun at things, playing around with new infrastructure automation tools, and over-engineering my home network for funsies.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of some buzzwords I've worked with.
