I am Max Fierke. I write software. I enjoy trains. I found five dollars on the ground and I'm keeping it.
Twin Cities born & raised, in Minneapolis is where I spend most of my days. I work-in-place as a Software Engineer for Boston-based startup Iora Health, which offers a top-notch value-based and outcome-focused care model to deliver great care to our patients. (I, however, do not speak for them and neither does this site.)
I like to work with a lot of different tech. You should git checkout
my GitHub, where I store several of my prized codes. In the past, I've worked on embedded systems & operating systems. These days, I'm managing infrastructure and building web applications using Ruby on Rails and Ember.js. In my free-time, I'm hacking on Rust stuff, parsers in Crystal, and fumbling my way through writing, drawing, and building a point-and-click adventure game. I'm also fond of Linux kernel hacking, reverse engineering, poking fun at things, playing around with new infrastructure automation tools, and over-engineering my home network for funsies.
Below are some buzzwords I've worked with.
