I am Max Fierke. I write software. I enjoy trains. I found five dollars on the ground and I'm keeping it.
Twin Cities born & raised, in Minneapolis is where I spend most of my days. I work-in-place as a Software Engineer for Boston-based startup Iora Health, which offers a top-notch value-based and outcome-focused care model to deliver great care to our patients. (I, however, do not speak for them and neither does this site.) It's an awesome company to work for and we are hiring!
I like to work with a lot of different tech. You should
git checkout my GitHub, where I store several of my prized codes. In the past, I've worked on embedded systems & operating systems. These days, I'm typically building web applications using Ruby on Rails and Ember.js. In my free-time, I'm hacking on Rust stuff and fumbling my way through writing, drawing, and building a point-and-click adventure game. I'm also fond of Linux kernel hacking, reverse engineering, poking fun at things, playing around with new infrastructure automation tools, and over-engineering my home network for funsies.
Below are some buzzwords I've worked with.
